Introduction To Computers - Starting July 26th

The Martin Community College Division of Continuing Education will be conducting a course on "Introduction To Computers - Phase 2" based on the book "Practical PC" by June Parsons and Dan Oja. The course book includes a multi-media CD with links to additional content on the Internet, and informative animations about computers.

Phase 2 will cover Browsing the Internet, Sending E-Mail and Attachments, Creating and Printing Documents, Making Spreadsheets and Presentations, Accessing Databases, Working with Graphics, Recording and Editing Sound, and Desktop Video and Animation. The course is conducted in the MCC computer lab and includes hands on experience with Windows XP Computers.

The instructor will be W.A. "Dean" Stephens.

Classes will be held every Tuesday night from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, starting Tuesday July 26th and going for seven weeks through September 6th. The computer lab will not be available on 8/9 and 8/16, so those two Tuesdays will be made up on Thursday 8/25 and Thursday 9/1.
